What We Do

Gift Program

Support for Children and Families

Gifts that Matter partners with local schools and social service organizations to identify children and families in need who are seeking assistance during a crucial time. We further support vulnerable children and teens by providing them with enrichment and educational opportunities that may enhance the quality of their lives.

Our intention is to bridge a gap in current resources and to do so in a timely fashion to meet the immediacy of need. Administrative time lags are minimized to the extent possible.

Special Projects

Support for Our Partner Organizations

Gifts that Matter supports our partner organizations through special projects and food drives. The focus of Gifts that Matter is to serve our community on the North Shore of Boston.

How It Works

Social workers and case managers who work directly with families contact us with information on a family, the specific need, and the urgency. We work together with the social worker and the family to find a way to meet the need quickly and without extensive paperwork or red tape. We are often able to fill a request in days rather than weeks.
